Case law (Law)

The fiqh (Arabic: fiqh, فقه: derived from the verb meaning to understand) is translated by the Islamic jurisprudence relating to the legal opinions taken by the jurists of Islam on the limits not to be exceeded by the Muslims. It is therefore a legal understanding of the message of Islam. The scholar in fiqh matters, the jurist, is called faqîh (Arabic: faqīh, فقيه). There are several schools or madhhab (way) of fiqh. These schools usually take the name of the lawyer who founded them.
